Program Description:
Enjoy your summer by spending time with a Finnish host family. Explore our nature, get to know Finnish culture, discover the sauna and much more!
Intensive Home Stay Program participants spend the program with their host families, either at their home, or at the summer house, “mökki,” in the countryside. “Mökki” is a summer staple for many, and Finns love relaxing in nature during the summer. The home stay program is a perfect way to experience the special summer of the northern Europe. Our long, light summer nights and pleasant temperatures guarantee a perfect setting for all kinds of summer activities, and our accessible forests, clean rivers and thousands of lakes always provide new places to explore! Living with a Finnish host family will give students a chance to discover Finnish culture first-hand and to immerse themselves in a new kind of family life for an enriching cultural experience. This program include two orientations. Orientation camp takes place in Helsinki in the beginning and at the end of the program. Otherwise students will live with their host families all around Finland.
